Honey Nut Cereal Bar
My daughter would love to eat breakfast about 9:30 in the morning. The only problem with this is her school day starts at 7:55. One of these ceral bars and her vitamins might be the only things I get her to eat before rushing out the door. You can toss these in a lunchbox and they're not crumbly so you could even say they are safe for the car....but bring wipes for the sticky hands. I adapted this recipe from Martha Stewart, see the original here: http://www.marthastewart.com/1012977/honey-nut-cereal-bar
- 4 tablespoons butter or coconut oil
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
- Pinch cinnamon
- 3 cups Cheerios - Smile Link
- 3/4 cup roasted sunflower seeds

Line an 8x8 pan with parchment. Combine butter, sugar, honey, salt, and cinnamon in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 1-2 minutes and remove from heat.
Mix in the cereal and seeds.
Pour into the pan and press down with a spatula. Let cool at least 30 minutes.
Cut into 16 squares and enjoy!
