Lunchbox Treats: Salad on a Stick

This is much less of a recipe and more of an idea that you can customize to your needs. Sometimes all you need to make your kiddo try a food is a new presentation. My kids hate raw tomatoes. They love watermelon and bocconcini, those small balls of fresh mozzarella. They also like foods served on sticks (hey there, popsicles). You can do this in any combination of fruits, veggies, meat, or cheeses that you like and are soft enough to skewer.

Ingredients

  • Any of the following: softer fruits, veggies, meats, cheeses, herbs like basil
  • Skewers (These were too long, I cut them in half)

Step 1

Cut everything into bite-sized pieces. Skewer it all, alternating items. Pack it up and you’re done!
