About Project Autism

In June 2012, Project Autism was founded. Michael Conteh, who is the Executive Director of Tangible Difference Learning Center (www.tangibledifference.com) wanted to help families who were still struggling to find quality resources and training for Autism services. After more than 13 years working with children who have special needs, Michael knew he would like to create a nonprofit whose main goal was providing support, assistance and education to families affected by autism spectrum disorder.

The main way we plan to accomplish this goal is through our website which features educational blogs, community events and our extensive resource list.

Mission Statement: The goal of Project Autism is to provide assistance, support, and education to families and professionals affected by and/or affiliated with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs).

We live in a world in which we need to share responsibility. It’s easy to say “It’s not my child, not my community, not my world, not my problem. “Then there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes”
