Michael Conteh

Executive Director

Michael Conteh has been working with special needs children at in-home and clinical settings for over 10 years. Early in his career, he worked as a direct staff member at a residential facility, working with children and young adults with severe emotional and behavioral challenges. He has had the opportunity to work with children ranging from 18 months to 22 years old, including children on the Autism Spectrum, and children with ADHD or Down Syndrome. Michael formed Project Autism in 2012, after noticing the difficulty families were going through to find quality, community resources.

Jackie Howell

Website Content Coordinator

Jackie Howell has been working with children with special needs since 2002 in a variety of settings. Jackie has provided one-on-one ABA therapy, and designed and implemented programming in order to help children with special needs learn. During the years she spent as a part of a treatment team for the Mental Health and Mental Retardation Authority of Harris County, Jackie witnessed firsthand the lack of information consumers, especially low-income consumers, had access to in order to provide the best care and education to their loved ones with special needs. Jackie joined the Project Autism team in order to help make sure that anyone can access the community resources needed to help their loved ones reach their full potential.
